So excited! Here’s the blurb:

Useful, entertaining, and a bit quirky, this cookbook provides quick and easy recipes (42 to be exact), from appetizers and soups to main dishes and desserts. The book also includes a Fridge and Panty List and a This and That section, where you will find helpful cooking and food storage tips, measuring tricks, and more.

Although there are no glossy photos, Quick and Easy: Comfort From the Kitchen contains vignettes, essays, cooking advice, and even a poem or two. Along with providing a useful collection of “go-to” recipes, it also qualifies as a good bedtime read. However, if hungry, no fear! The page noted for each recipe in the table of contents will enable you to “jump” right to the recipe.

While not a chef by trade, the author has years of experience in the kitchen, including working in food service, cooking for crowds, and presenting cooking demonstrations at farmers markets. As a writer, she is especially happy she has finally published a cookbook, a goal she has had for years. It won’t be her last.

Just a final note: When cooking at home, the author generally draws on various cuisines; however, most of the recipes in this book are based on what was considered comfort food to a New Englander raised in the suburbs during the 1960s and 70s.

Thanks for checking out this page! This was so fun to write, albeit there was, and still is a learning curve to the entire process.

The next cookbook will feature recipes I created when doing cooking demos at a farmers market, tell the stories of some of “my” farmers (once my vendor, always my vendor), and talk about the importance of supporting local farmers and producers. Stay tuned!
